Global Product Manager

The Global Product Line Manager is the voice of the customer in product development and make sure that the execution of single product building blocks pays into the overall portfolio strategy. They bring sellable products successfully to the market and are responsible for profitability throughout the complete lifecycle.
The Product Manager understands market needs and translates the strategic roadmap in the product roadmap for the assigned portfolio (short to midterm view).
In this context the GPM is responsible for the documentation, communication, lifecycle management and the pricing definition of Bystronic product portfolio of standalone machines that can be operated independently.

Main Activities:
• Interface between MC/Market/R&D
• Defines Pricing in cooperation with Pricing Manager
• Responsible for Product Lifecycle Management with focus to TTM
• Close work with Corporate Communication with responsibility about the product & services content
• Sales figures monitoring – define actions together with Corporate Communications

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
• Close cooperation with the Strategic Product Management and Segment Marketing in order to be able to implement the strategic goals of the company in a targeted manner
• Responsibility for clarifying and providing customer requirements and business aspects for the future product portfolio
• Implementation of the Bystronic product portfolio strategy across the globe in close cooperation with second GPLM from agile team and in coordination with the product owner or in cross functional teams
• Coordination of marketing communication for the successful launch of the respective portfolio (e.g. product, price, place, promotion)
• Provide market intelligence, tools and product trainings (cost calculation, product presentation, sales training, workshops)
• Monitoring of the product lifecycle incl. product enhancement (e.g. feature backlog management to extend lifecycle) and product Phase out

Education / Further Training: Mandatory BA with economic background and technical experience or technical education with additional education/experiences in product management.
Languages: Mandatory Fluent English
