HSE MANAGER – COUNTRY RSPP
The Safety, Health and Environment Manager role is a key position in Italy.
HSE Manager provides for an adequate and proficient level of occupational health and safety in the organization. A functional expert which primary objective is to create, promote and maintain a strong SHE culture. The HSE Manager reports to the HSE Manager Region South and will directly manage all country related SHE activities including the role of RSPP (Safety Officer)
RESPONSIBILITY:
• Support the management teams in decision-making regarding SHE program implementation and in integrating SHE into their routine processes
• Provide coaching and support to the country management teams, divisions and functions with the aim of securing management commitment to SHE policies.
• Ensure company SHE policies are rolled-out and applied in the field, taking into account applicable local regulatory and counselling requirements
• Manage a suite of health and safety programs for the organization in accordance with the Global strategy such as:
- SHE Reporting: ensures reporting discipline for vehicle accidents, injuries, safety observations, near miss etc.
- Incident Investigation: in accordance with Global standards, investigates most incidents to assess and discover the route cause. Actively engages with first line managers to ensure mitigation procedures are implemented.
- Training: organizes and in some cases delivers Safety Trainings (incl. induction, on- boarding, basic safety and leadership training).
- Personal Safety: maintains an appropriate program which includes a scheme to define Divisional requirements.
- Driver Safety: manages a Driver Safety Management program including the organization and provision of “Behind the Wheel” trainings for all Active Drivers
- Audits: Conduct internal Audits at customer premises for ensuring adoption of standard
• Ensure market-specific requirements are captured, monitored and supported, whether through global or local programs and systems or specific country requirements (i.e. Scheduled Medical Examination…)
• Take on RSPP responsibilities and follow up on all related activities
