For the Italian market WE have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Italian speaking individual to join our Product Editorial Team as a Sub Editor & Translator. The main purpose of this role is to help ensure that the products on NET-A-PORTER Group websites have been translated by our agency partners in an accurate and reliable manner, in clear and concise Italian, whilst preserving the house style as well as being part of the initial translations team working on site content for the Italian market.
Key Responsibilities:
• Translating site furniture and static site content into Italian in line with our in-house style guides prior to the website launch
• Supporting the Product Editor with ad-hoc translation requests
• Sub-editing third-party product page copy according to in-house style guides; checking accuracy of copy against images as well as grammar and spelling. Ensuring all copy is clear and concise and localized where relevant
• Working to daily deadlines
• Ensuring that all editorial content across the Italian product pages reflects the aims, values, house style and tone of each site
• Confidence in replying to emails and attending meetings
Skills and Experience:
• Italian mother tongue and excellent command of the English language; you will need to be able to write and speak English fluently
• Proven experience of digital translating, trans-creating and sub-editing
• Sound knowledge of women's and men's luxury fashion, seasonal trends, designers and brands as well as strong commercial awareness
• Confidence to liaise with other teams
• Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously
• Experience working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment with competing deadlines and priorities
• Ability to think clearly and calmly when faced with issues or problems
• A proven ability to work quickly and efficiently with accuracy and attention to detail
