Project Procurement & Contract Specialist
JOB PURPOSE:
The incumbent will follow, under Company Global Procurement Management and in agreement with Global Engineering, to act as a Project Procurement and Contract Specialist
The role is dedicated to specific Capex Project
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Procurement Activities
- Packages - Basic design, EPCMQ, Work packages,
- Assess the local situation with Company PM, Global Procurement Category Lead and Local Procurement Manager
- Put in place Company's contracting strategy and the use of Company GTC and Contract
- Define strategy on how to award the package(s) in order to obtain the best possible total cost of ownership for the Company
- Creation & update of the Procurement Strategy document with the assistance of Project Manager
- Create a bidder list of vendors; perform financial and compliance checks of vendors
- Send out the ITT within Ariba (SAP) & collect the offers
Contract Management Activities
- Conduct regular meetings with Project Manager, Schedule and Cost control lead, EO - provide information on current standing & bottlenecks
- Be the primary contact in case of escalation related to vendor project performance a review the progress of each contractor before invoicing through the Progress status reports
- Monitor a running record of Purchase Orders and contract with support of Project Assistant and Cost Control
- Support project team for contract execution and claim management (EHS, cost, schedule and document control)
- Together with the PM, define and lead the overall strategy of contractor claim management of the project
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor in Business or similar
- At least 2 years of experience in the role
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – Fluent in Italian and English.
- Knowledge of contractual terms of supply and technical agreements.
- Good knowledge of finance (cost benchmark & financial audit with key supplier) and legal matters (contracting)
- Competencies in project management activities: scheduling, contracting and forecasting
